BECE Result 2023/2024. This article is written to guide students on how to check Junior WAEC result 2023. It is an attempt to put students through when the JSCE 3 result 2023 is out.


Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is conducted for candidates in their third year of the Junior Secondary School. And NECO is the body that conducts the BECE for Federal Unity Colleges, Armed Forces Secondary Schools and other Federal establishments operating Secondary schools.

Is BECE Result for Jss3 2023 out?


The management of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of candidates that participated in its 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


Private Secondary schools also take part in the NECO BECE provided they are permitted by their State Ministries of Education.

In order to check your 2023 (JSS3)/BECE Junior WAEC result, you will have to buy a token for you to have access to the result. Click the red link to find out the steps to purchase the token.

Tokens can be obtained in two ways:

  1. By creating an account, login-in and purchasing the token online using the payment options
  2. By purchasing the token and sharing with another candidate via email or printing it out.

A token can only be associated to one candidate’s unique exam number.

Each token cannot be used more than 5 times to view a candidate’s result.


N.B: One token can be used a maximum of 5 times. After this limit, you will need to purchase a new token to view results again.

How to Check BECE Result 2023

1. Login to the New result checking porta on This link is old and no longer in use

2. Select BECE i.e JSCE in the Examination type box

3. Select the Exam year i.e 2023

4. Enter your PIN number from the scratch card you purchased

5. Enter your Exam number

6. Click on “Check my Result”

Then your JSCE result will come up.

How to Check State BECE JSCE Result

Each state of the federation and the FCT conducts the BECE for its candidates and to check your result you will need to visit the state’s result portal. Below states listed have a result checking portal for BECE result.

In order to check your Junior WAEC result for states that have online portal, you will have to get a PIN and visit the portal to check your JSS3 result.

For example, for candidates from Plateau state:

1. visit,

2. click on “open result checker”

3. Input your scratch card number, candidate full exam number, date of birth

4. click on preview and your result will show

And for states that doesn’t have online portal, the result will be sent from the ministry of education to all principals of the various public secondary schools in the state. So you should contact your school on your results.

BECE Grading System

The grading system of Junior WAEC (JSCE) result is as follow:

A – Distinction

B – Upper Credit

C – Lower Credit

P – Pass

F – Fail
